Research based, evidence based, trauma informed practices for Grade 4-12 in an easy to integrate grab & go curriculum.
Overcommitment, depression, anxiety, and social pressures are a large part of life for so many children and teens, especially with the influences of social media.
We know so much about how trauma, stress, and anxiety affect children. We have listened to children tell us all they are struggling with- addictions, trauma, academics, relationships, and so much more. You have sat through trainings telling you kids need mental health tools more than ever, but you haven’t been given the time or tools to put that knowledge into action (Let alone told how to take care of your own mental health. I have you covered: When you sign up for this product, you will also receive emails with suggestions to start playing around with your own mindfulness practice!
I was a special education and Title 1 teacher for 11 years and I know time is limited and so valuable. I believe academics can’t be taught without a focus on student mental health. After teaching kids mindfulness and other mental health tools for years, my knowledge has allowed me to create a solution to help bring mental health tools into the classroom in a quick, easy, and effective way. I have been teaching kids mindfulness and other mental health tools for 5 years, and they are seriously wanting more and more!
The program will provide students with a step-by-step guide on how to reduce stress, put aside their inner critic, increase compassion for themselves and others, understand emotions, and so much more! Once completed, kids and teens will have an easier time integrating these self-help principles into their lives that will continue to benefit them into adulthood. (Man, how life could have been if I learned all of this before I was in my 30s!)
No more curriculum that takes forever to learn, implement, and find time and space for, this is truly a grab & go curriculum with amazing benefits!
What is the Mental Health Tools for Kids Curriculum?
Research tells us adults having their own practices is KEY to success with teaching students. In fact even if you ONLY have your own practice, and never teach these practices, research shows that those around you will still be positively impacted!
Change also happens best through modeling, which is why I included a part for you the adult!

Meet your trainer: Christy Langman
More about Christy:
I was born a teacher. I always loved to teach others. Naturally, I entered the teaching system, and taught special education, and was a reading specialist for 11 years.
I loved teaching and working with children, and I reached burn out while teaching more than once. My anxiety reached an all-time high. I was fueled by my accomplishments, so I kept putting myself deeper into my work. I was drowning.
I began to practice yoga and mindfulness. Not without much reluctance and a fight. I felt like I had no time, and seriously my racing mind HATED it. Slowing down my mind was much needed, and also SUPER uncomfortable.
However, after each session, I would feel different. I felt lighter and at ease. I had clarity, I was much more patient and kinder with my family. I was a much happier person. Life didn’t feel like it was squashing me anymore. My husband was literally begging me to go to more mindfulness and yoga classes.
I now teach mindfulness to youth, educators, and parents because it has literally saved my life. My favorite part is helping people find ways to practice that work works best for them. There are so many ways to practice mindfulness!
